All Nutrisource products are safe to feed! In view of the recent pet food recalls by other companies, here are some of the most frequently asked questions we have received from pet owners. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 800-525-9155.
1) Are Nutrisource pet foods safe to feed? YES! ALL NUTRISOURCE PET FOOD PRODUCTS ARE COMPLETELY SAFE TO FEED!
2) Has any Nutrisource branded pet food been recalled or involved in the recalls? NO! NO NUTRISOURCE BRANDED PET FOOD HAS BEEN RECALLED OR AFFECTED BY THE RECALLS. IN OVER 40 YEARS OF PRODUCING PET FOODS, NO PRODUCT MANUFACTURED AT OUR FACILITY IN PERHAM, MINNESOTA HAS EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN A RECALL.
3) Is wheat gluten or rice gluten used in Nutrisource? NO! THERE IS NO WHEAT GLUTEN OR RICE GLUTEN USED IN NUTRISOURCE BRANDED PET FOODS!
4) Is corn gluten meal used in Nutrisource? YES. NUTRISOURCE USES CORN GLUTEN MEAL IN THE LARGE BREED PUPPY, SENIOR DOG, PERFORMANCE 30/20 AND ADULT COMPLETE CAT FOOD FORMULAS BECAUSE OF THE CONCENTRATED SOURCE OF HIGHLY DIGESTIBLE ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS. IT IS ALSO A SOURCE OF VITAMINS AND MINERALS, ALL OF WHICH ARE IMPORTANT TO OVERALL PET HEALTH.
5) Is the corn gluten used in Nutrisource sourced from China? NO! CORN GLUTEN USED IN SELECTED NUTRISOURCE BRANDED PRODUCTS COMES FROM CORN GROWN IN THE UNITED STATES, WITH THE VAST MAJORITY BEING GROWN IN THE UPPER MIDWEST WHERE OUR FACILITY IS LOCATED.
6) Are ANY ingredients used in Nutrisource sourced from the Chinese supplier in question? NO!
7) Are all Nutrisource branded pet products manufactured at one facility? YES! ALL NUTRISOURCE BRANDED PET PRODUCTS ARE MANUFACTURED IN PERHAM, MINNESOTA USA.
8) Are raw ingredients tested before they are used in Nutrisource pet foods? YES! INGREDIENTS ARE TESTED BEFORE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO ENTER OUR PRODUCTION FACILITY TO ENSURE THAT THEY MEET OUR STRICT SAFETY AND WHOLSOMENESS STANDARDS. IN ADDITION, EACH FINISHED PRODUCT IS SUBJECTED TO A "TRIPLE CHECK" SYSTEM BEFORE IT IS RELEASED FOR SALE TO GUARANTEE THE END PRODUCT MEETS ALL QUALITY AND SAFETY STANDARDS.
